Latest from Nord on COVID-19 –12/7/2020

As we move through the months of the Coronavirus crisis, please know that The Nord Center continues to implement the necessary measures to be able to provide behavioral health, sexual assault and emergency crisis services critical to our clients and our community.

These measures include: Implementation of telehealth services where possible; temperature screening and the CDC questionnaire for all people entering our facilities; face masks and social distancing on our premises; continued emphasis on hand washing; and an enhanced sanitizing schedule.

The Nord Center is working diligently to ensure that we can continue to provide excellent care for you during this time of crisis. Our 24/7 crisis hotline remains fully operational at 800-888-6161.

The Nord Center’s 6140 South Broadway location remains open for services such as injections that require an in person visit. The Nord Center Pharmacy remains open though where possible we will mail out your medication rather than have you pick it up in person.

Please continue to monitor your own health. To stay healthy, washing your hands and keeping them clean is one of the most important things you can do.

Here is the Ohio Department of Health’s most recently updated guidance on quarantine for people who may have been exposed to COVID-19.

Statement on Racial and Social Injustice

The Nord Center takes its mission to the community seriously. Our Mission calls us to be “Engaging people in our community to achieve mental and emotional health through prevention, treatment, and advocacy.” Treatment is something we do every day and is probably what you know us best for. We know that providing treatment and advocacy in an environment that supports racial and social equity is also key to your success.

We recognize the existence of racial and social injustice in our community.  It has been allowed to exist for too long.  We must act, both as individuals and as an institution.  We must, every day, stand up for what is right, do what is right and help right our community and country.  That is why The Nord Center stands with others in our community against racial and social injustice. The Nord Center will always advocate for our clients, their families and members of our community and nation, who suffer the emotional turmoil and distress as a result.  We will continue to enhance our commitment to racial and social equity and weave it into the very fabric of the care and services we provide now and in the future
